Pilgrimage Season – Javierada this weekend

In March, the pilgrimage season begins, starting with this and next weekend’s Javierada – a pilgrimage to Castle of Javier where the patron saint of Navarra (St. Francis Xavier) was born.  Its an easy day trip, very nice bike ride or hike and free food is arranged by locals along the route, and the surrounding countryside make the whole experience worth it.
